Interpretive services

Nebraska Medicine provides free language and communication support for all patients. These services can be arranged by your care team.

Request a social worker

Nebraska Medicine social workers help patients and families adjust to life changes caused by illness. These services are available at no cost.

Spiritual Care

Nebraska Medicine chaplains and volunteers support patients, families and visitors of all faiths and backgrounds. They are available 24/7.

Support groups

Find local and online support groups to help cope with grief, recovery or an ongoing health condition.

Ethics consultation

Our ethics team provides patients, families and care teams a safe, respectful and neutral space to work through care decisions.

Help researching your condition

University of Nebraska Medical Center librarians will research your condition or treatment, and put together a personalized package of information including journal articles, chapters of books, pamphlets and other resources. Any Nebraska resident or patients receiving health care in Nebraska can use the library and this service for free.
