How did you fall in love with your field?

I have always been fascinated with how the human body functions and felt that a career in medicine would be a great fit. I love that I get to use my passion to help people with complex surgical pathologies.

I felt there was a failure to understand MY REASON for being concerned about going home the same day as surgery. I was just worried about being at home and if something would go wrong regarding my surgery and would be far away from medical care. (In Iowa.)
