The Bariatrics Center at University Tower is the most comprehensive weight management program in the region, offering both surgical and medical weight loss treatment options for obesity. Our program was designed and directed by physicians who are specialty trained in medical weight management and bariatric surgery. Our providers are supported by a multidisciplinary team of specialists including physician assistants and nurse coordinators trained in bariatric medicine.
We feel this is important, because not everyone’s genetic makeup allows them to lose weight in the same way. Your weight loss journey may require one - or a combination of treatment options - to successfully reach your weight loss goals and keep the weight off. Our team understands and is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.

The Bariatrics Center has eight parking stalls at its entrance. There is a covered driveway just past the Specialty Services Pavilion. If full, complimentary valet parking for patients is available in the Durham Outpatient Center circle drive. Self-parking is available in Green Parking located on the west side of the circle drive.
