Breastfeeding/Lactation Support and Education
Nebraska Medicine is temporarily suspending group Latch and Learn sessions at the Olson Center for Women's Health, Bellevue Medical Center, Fontenelle Health Center and Chalco Health Center. Our lactation consultants are available for one-on-one clinic appointments. If you have questions or need breastfeeding support, call 402.552.3487.
Pregnancy and the postpartum period are not always happy and carefree. In fact, 10-15% of women experience depression during pregnancy or the postpartum. Many women also experience anxiety symptoms during this time which can make it hard to enjoy the experience fully. At Nebraska Medicine, we have a group of reproductive psychiatry professionals who specialize in the treatment of women during periods of hormonal transition.
Pregnancy and Postpartum Support Group
If you are experiencing depression or anxiety while pregnant or within the first year after childbirth and are in need of support, our Lean In Support Group is for you. Facilitated by Olson Center licensed social workers, we provide a safe and supportive environment for you to share your thoughts and concerns, while learning new coping techniques.
If you are an expectant mother or mother with a baby under 12 months, please consider joining us. Feel free to bring partners and support persons with you. Babies under 12 months are welcome to come along too. Support group is free with no registration required, and you may participate as often as you desire.
