While your medical care is your first concern, we also understand that traveling away from home can be a stressful experience for you and your family. Our team is here to make your stay as seamless and comfortable as possible. We provide comprehensive and culturally sensitive services for all patients and their families.

Prior to Arrival and During Your Stay
We will assist you and your family members with travel arrangements to our facilities, including air transportation and air ambulance services to Omaha. Ground transportation to and from the airport can also be arranged through our office.
The area near Nebraska Medicine includes numerous lodging options. Our team will work with you to find the most convenient and cost-effective accommodations for your stay. While you are in Omaha, we can make arrangements for you and your family to see what the city has to offer in terms of sightseeing, entertainment and shopping.
We encourage you to bring an English-speaking person with you, if possible. If there is not an interpreter who is fluent in your particular language available at the time of your appointment, we will use the services of professional telephone interpreters. There is no charge for this service.
We are sensitive to meeting our patients’ and their families’ special dietary needs and restrictions. We will coordinate those needs with the medical staff, and provide suggestions for healthful and satisfying meals. We can also assist you in obtaining international foods from your specific region through local providers in the Omaha metro area.

Cost and Billing
We offer competitive pricing for international patients. After our physicians have reviewed your medical history, we will provide advance estimates for all charges. We will work closely with your international health insurance company and embassy to obtain authorization for the treatments that you need. If international health insurance is not an option or you are not sponsored by your embassy, our financial counselors will handle deposits and assist you with other financial matters before, during and after your visit, including the completion of financial and other forms to facilitate settlement of medical expenses.
