Dr. Filippelli joined the ENT/Audiology department in August of 2016. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2011 receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Speech & Hearing Science. She continued her education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln receiving a Master of Science in 2015 and a Doctor of Audiology in 2016. Dr. Filippelli is a member of the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association (CCC-A) and a fellow in the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA). She is also a certified occupational hearing conservationist (COHC). Dr. Filippelli is an adjunct professor at University of Nebraska Medical Center in the College of Public Health focusing on Hearing Conservation and implements the UNMC's OSHA protocol.
