Recipe: Peach crisp
Ingredients
Peach filling:
- 5 ripe peaches
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Oat crisp:
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup oat flour
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup walnuts, almonds, or pecans (optional)
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9-by-9-inch baking dish.
- Cut the peaches into ¾-inch slices and add them to a large mixing bowl.
- Add the brown sugar and cornstarch. Toss until the peaches are fully coated, then transfer them to the greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix oats, oat flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Add melted butter and vanilla until the mix is crumbly.
- Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the peaches.
- Bake for 30 to 38 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.
- Let cool for 10 to15 minutes before serving so the filling can set.
- If desired, top with chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans before serving.
