Recipe: Garlic Parmesan green beans

Cooked green beans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans, stems removed
  • 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Steam the green beans by adding 2 to 3 inches of water to a deep stock pot with a steamer attachment. Bring the water to a boil. Add the green beans to a steamer basket and steam for 6 to 8 minutes, until they are slightly tender.
  2. Once tender, remove the green beans from the heat, drain water and set aside.
  3. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it melted.
  4. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  5. Add the green beans, sea salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat the green beans evenly.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle grated Parmesan over the green beans. Toss until the Parmesan is melted.
