Our experts in rheumatology are trained to diagnose and treat diseases that affect the joints and connective tissues. Our areas of expertise include rheumatoid arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, myositis, lupus, scleroderma, vasculitis and fibromyalgia.
Why come to Nebraska Medicine?
Our rheumatologists are national and international leaders in rheumatology, thanks in large part to the research they conduct to improve patient care. Their work in research has been recognized around the world. In their work, they have studied not only new therapies, but also conducted research on how new medications compare to established therapies. The outcomes of these research studies impact how patients with autoimmune diseases are treated worldwide.
All of our rheumatologists are board certified and fellowship trained. Our physicians train new doctors in UNMC's fellowship program in rheumatology. We are the largest rheumatologist group in the state of Nebraska and offer comprehensive care for all rheumatologic conditions. In addition, we offer specialty clinics for patients with scleroderma, myopathy and rheumatoid arthritis.
