In this video, Perry Johnson, MD, discusses breast implants in more detail. He also provides more information about the gummy bear implants and how to determine if they are right for you.

Reports that certain breast implants may be linked to a rare cancer called anaplastic large cell lymphoma, may have you concerned. While these concerns are still being investigated, Perry Johnson, MD, plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Village Pointe Aesthetic Surgery | Dreams MedSpa, says it is extremely rare, and his team uses an alternative, a more popular breast implant known as the gummy bear. This is a highly cohesive implant that holds its shape better than the textured surface saline implants that may be linked to the cancer.
