What is Hydrafacial® Keravive scalp treatment, and does it work for hair loss?

You’ve probably heard of the popular Hydrafacial® treatment, but did you know it can be used on your scalp, too?

Now available at Dreams MedSpa, Hydrafacial® Keravive deeply cleanses, nourishes and revitalizes the scalp to help hair look and feel healthier and fuller. Here’s how it works and who can benefit.

What is Hydrafacial® Keravive, and how does it work?

Hydrafacial® Keravive uses the same technology as the traditional Hydrafacial® skin treatment but with a specialized protocol designed for the scalp. The FDA-approved treatment follows a three-step process that cleanses, nourishes and hydrates the scalp.

A licensed esthetician uses suction and extraction tools to remove dead skin and product buildup while stimulating circulation to the scalp. Next, the Keravive Peptide Complex Serum is applied to deliver peptides and growth factors that hydrate and nourish the scalp. Clients also receive a 30-day take-home peptide spray to extend and maintain their results between sessions.

Treatment options:

  • Partial – Targets smaller areas, such as a thinning or receding hairline.
  • Full scalp – For those with overall scalp concerns.

“The treatment works by creating a clean, healthy environment for hair to thrive,” says Danna Gross, licensed esthetician. “It’s like giving your scalp a facial.”

Does Hydrafacial® Keravive work for hair loss?

While Hydrafacial® Keravive doesn’t directly stimulate hair follicles or change hormones like traditional hair loss treatments, it does help create a healthier scalp environment by removing impurities, boosting circulation and restoring hydration.

The treatment can be done on its own or combined with other therapies, such as PRP, laser therapy or hair supplements for optimal results.

“When the scalp is healthy, hair can grow stronger and fuller,” says Gross.

Who is a good candidate for Hydrafacial® Keravive?

Hydrafacial® Keravive is safe for all hair and scalp types, especially those with:

  • Dryness.
  • Oiliness.
  • Itchiness.
  • Mild shedding.
  • Product buildup or scalp congestion.

However, it’s not recommended for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or for those with active scalp conditions such as psoriasis or dermatitis.

“We always review each client’s history first to make sure Keravive is the right fit,” says Gross.

How long does it take to see results?

Many patients notice relief from dryness, flakiness and buildup after just one session. Fuller, healthier-looking hair typically develops after a series of three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Maintenance treatments every six months help sustain results.

Why choose Dreams MedSpa for Hydrafacial® Keravive?

Dreams MedSpa is proud to be a Black Diamond Tier Hydrafacial® provider, a designation reserved for top-performing clinics nationwide.

“This means our team performs a high volume of Hydrafacial® treatments, giving clients expert-level care,” explains Gross. “We love being able to offer Keravive because it’s such a gentle yet effective way to help restore scalp health, and many people notice results after just one session.”
