Qualifications of foreign applicants and VISA sponsorship

Nebraska Medicine’s PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residency programs only consider candidates who: (1) are graduates or candidates for graduation, from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program (or one in the process of pursuing accreditation); and, (2) must be licensed or will be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Nebraska by the start of the residency program. To be eligible for a PGY2 residency, candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing an ASHP-accredited or candidate-status PGY1 residency. All applicants, both foreign and domestic, must provide proof of United States citizenship or legal immigration status, or proper work authorization (permanent or temporary). At this time, candidates for the PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residency programs are not eligible for VISA sponsorship.
