Nebraska Medicine is aware of a nationwide scam involving messages that may appear to come from One Chart | Patient or MyChart. Learn what to watch for and how to keep your personal information safe.

Signs of a possible scam

Be cautious of messages that appear to come from One Chart | Patient, MyChart, or a health care organization, especially if they:

  • Come from unfamiliar email addresses or phone numbers
  • Promise free kits or health care products such as “MyChart Medicare Kit” or “2026 MyChart Senior Health Package”
  • Ask you to verify your personal information
  • Create a sense of urgency to act quickly
  • Contain spelling or grammatical errors 

One Chart | Patient is the Nebraska Medicine patient portal, powered by MyChart. If you receive an unexpected or suspicious email, text, or phone call, do not click links or share personal information.

What to do if you get a suspicious message

If you receive a suspicious email or text message claiming to offer One Chart or MyChart-related products or benefits, we recommend that you:

  • Do not click on any buttons or links in the message, including an "unsubscribe" link
  • Do not reply, open attachments, or forward the message to someone else
  • Do not provide personal, financial, or Medicare information
  • Mark the email or text as spam or junk and delete it

  • Never share your password or verification codes. Nebraska Medicine will never ask you to provide your password by phone, text, or email. 
  • Only sign in to One Chart | Patient  using the official Nebraska Medicine app or OneChartPatient.com.
