We first apply your payment to the bill you selected. If your payment is more than the amount due, a credit is created on your account. When this happens, we review all of your Nebraska Medicine accounts to see if you have other balances.
- If you have other unpaid balances, your credit may be used to help pay those amounts.
- If you do not have other balances, the credit remains on your account until all insurance claims are processed. If a credit remains after insurance activity is complete, you may be eligible for a refund. Learn more about refunds.
