42nd Street closure near Clarkson Tower
Beginning Sept. 1, additional construction will impact traffic patterns near Clarkson Tower. Please allow extra time to travel.
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, 42nd Street from south of Farnam Street to Dewey Avenue will be closed. This work overlaps with the current closure of 42nd Street from Dewey Avenue to Emile Street, which is expected to reopen by Nov. 1.
Alternate routes to Clarkson Tower
- From Dodge Street heading west: Keep right to reach 42nd Street, then head south and follow detour signs.
- From Dodge Street heading east: turn south on 40th Street, then west on Dewey Avenue.
- From Leavenworth or Jones Streets: go north on 38th Avenue, then west on Dewey Avenue.
Follow posted detour signs and electronic message boards as you approach campus.
Parking lot construction at Nebraska Medical Center
Beginning Friday, Nov. 7, the Orange parking lot at Clarkson Tower will undergo a safety and accessibility enhancement project.
During construction, traffic patterns will shift and parking will be limited. We recommend arriving early for your appointment to allow extra time to park and reach your destination.
