Nebraska Medicine recognized as leader in academic medicine and as a 'great place to work’ in health care in 2025

Becker’s Hospital Review recently published two prestigious lists recognizing excellence in health care:

Nebraska Medicine is included on both lists.

For the Academic Medical Centers to know list, Becker’s considered centers and systems with exceptional patient care, cutting-edge research and groundbreaking medical advancements.

For its Great Places to Work in Health Care list, considerations include organizations which support their teams through comprehensive benefits, opportunities for personal and professional growth and “outstanding workplace cultures.”

“This recognition matters because it objectively confirms what we know about our organization: our colleagues do extraordinary work,” says James Linder, MD, Nebraska Medicine CEO and Board Chair. “If you look at what Becker's criteria was to make these lists, you'll see each of our core values, as well as our organizational priorities."

Becker’s develops its lists through a nomination process, editorial research, and in the case of the academic medical centers list, data validation through outside organizations such as Healthgrades, CMS and The Leapfrog Group.
