While breastfeeding is a natural process, it is also a learned art. It is recommended that this class be taken at least two to four weeks before your baby is due. Lactation consultants will instruct you and a support person on the basics of breastfeeding including:
- Latching the baby onto the breast
- Gauging if the baby is getting enough milk
- Establishing a good milk supply
- Positions for feeding
Lactation consultants are also available for prenatal and postpartum consultations if desired. Please call 402.559.4500.
If you are already enrolled in a Childbirth Education Class and would like to register for this class free of charge, please call 402.559.4452.
Event Fee and Policies
Registration is $15.00 per couple if you are not taking this class as part of the Childbirth Education Class.
Class/Event Discount Policy: If your insurance is paying for this class, call 402.559.4452 to enroll.
Class/Event Refund Policy: You must apply for refund within 24 hours of the start date of a class to be eligible for a full refund.
