COVID-19 related closings, cancellations and delays

Published March 19, 2020

COVID-19 closures graphic.

Because of the risk posed by coronavirus (COVID-19) to our patients, staff and our community, a number of Nebraska Medicine procedures, services and resources have been temporarily suspended until further notice. These changes are critical to protecting the health of our community, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

This page will be updated regularly, but if you have an appointment or procedure scheduled, and do not see your clinic location listed below, we encourage you to call ahead, as changes are happening quickly.

All non-urgent surgeries, procedures, screenings delayed

Beginning Monday, March 23, all non-urgent or elective surgeries, screenings and procedures (those that can wait without it negatively impacting individuals) will be postponed. We're doing this in conjunction with other community health systems to conserve resources, including space in the hospital and intensive care units, personal protective equipment and skilled workers. Emergency surgeries and any other surgeries that are urgent will still be performed.

New visitor and gift policies

A new visitor policy went into effect on March 16. See our latest policy. We are currently not allowing any flower or balloon deliveries. You can send them a free e-card with your own message instead.
