Fetal and Neonatal Care Coordination Clinic

Coordinated maternal and neonatal care for complex pregnancies

The Fetal and Neonatal Care Coordination (FNCC) Clinic is a collaborative outpatient clinic led by Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) in partnership with Neonatology at Nebraska Medicine.

The clinic supports pregnant patients with fetal, maternal or neonatal conditions that may require advanced neonatal care, coordinated delivery planning or NICU involvement after birth.

Patients are evaluated jointly by maternal-fetal medicine and neonatology teams to support prenatal counseling, delivery planning and coordinated neonatal care.

Indications for referral

Consider referral for patients with:

  • Known or suspected fetal congenital anomalies.
  • Known chromosomal or genetic abnormalities.
  • Complex maternal medical conditions that may impact neonatal care, including diabetes.
  • Periviable pregnancies requiring shared decision-making and multidisciplinary counseling.
  • Pregnancies where coordinated MFM and NICU consultation is needed before delivery.
