I have a bump on my eyelid and was surprised the PA didn't wear gloves to examine my eye as she poked and proded the area. I am a dentist and this would be unheard of in our world today. Just a thought that maybe this should be discussed with the pt. "we don't normally wear gloves for this procedure because..."
