About the Nebraska Medicine Office of Health Professions Education Learner Placement Process: 

Thank you for your interest in pursuing a student placement at Nebraska Medicine. Nebraska Medicine has a limited number of new Clinical Affiliation Agreements (CAA) signed due to student capacity and has not added contracts with online programs.   

Listed below are the considerations for student placement 

a. You are responsible for ensuring you complete all the steps prior to your placement on campus. 

  1. Use the application portal below to request hours with Nebraska Medicine  
  2. As capacity of preceptors allows, priority placement goes to Nebraska Medicine employees, and University of Nebraska Medical Center and Clarkson College students (based on Academic Affiliation Agreements with the above-mentioned institutions)  
  3. Prior to placement, a Clinical Affiliation Agreement must be established with Nebraska Medicine and requesting university/college. 
  4. Individuals may request a preceptor, however there is no guarantee you will be matched with your request. 
  5. Due to limited availability, please submit additional areas of interest on the application below  
  6. You will receive notice of your placement via email from the Office of Health Professions Education 2 weeks prior to your semester start date.  The notification will provide you next steps instructions through APOLLO (Nebraska Medicines Learning Management tool).
  7. You are responsible for ensuring you complete all the steps prior to your placement on campus.
