Living with low vision can feel overwhelming. For some, it’s hard to know where to turn for help. Nebraska Medicine patients who come to the Weigel Williamson Center for Visual Rehabilitation have that uncertainty turn into hope.
The Weigel Williamson Center for Visual Rehabilitation helps individuals with low vision regain their independence by providing them with adaptive tools and real world training.
Low vision can feel like a hopeless condition. If your vision loss is irreversible, you’re likely wondering if there’s any way to continue doing those daily activities that are central to your life.
Sallie Pershing, 76, has been an annual donor to the Weigel Williamson Center for Visual Rehabilitation for more than 10 years. Her commitment to the center was recently recognized with a plaque in the lobby of the center dedicated to its most loyal donors.
