The only thing I noticed was the Dr talked fast. But she also did stop to explain when I had questions regarding things

She explained issues pretty well. I also wish she would have told us how far out her cataract surgeries were scheduled. Waiting 5 months for my husband is extremely frustrating. He's not been able to drive since June due to vision loss. He was hoping this surgery would help with some of this issue.

Doctor seemed rushed and matter-of-fact.

I would never recommend somebody to a friend that can't book the surgery for months.

Dr. Thornton is excellent. She always asks if I have any questions she was the first - and only - eye specialist who diagnosed me with Fuchs Dystrophy. I greatly appreciate her expertise.

My Dr explained everything, saw me early and thanked me for coming from Lincoln. I like Dr. Ivey Thornton.

This doctor talked too much and did not seem concerned about me. She was more concerned about moving on to the next patient. Options given to me for over the counter medications were vague and there was no concern about my financial situation. " Buy this it should help" I was frustrated and irritated by the time I left the office. Even the "scribe" had a difficult time keeping up with dictation on the computer. I'm not interested in seeing this physician again.

I will not return to this office. The physician was excellent but it was the staff that didn't pay any attention to the reason I was making an appointment for a new prescription for glasses, not cataract evaluation. So, I was evaluated for over an hour for treatment I didn't want and left frustrated and without a new prescription.

Dr Thornton is wonderful with people. It is so easy to talk with her. She explains everything. One of the best Doctors I've ever had.

I felt like my concerns were dismissed and she didn't understand the how much my dry eyes are negatively impacting my health, both physical and emotional. I also didn't feel I have a treatment plan in place that provides any hope for improvement in my symptoms. Spent almost 2 hours at the office to pay a hefty price for an office visit with no real answers or solutions beyond what I already gathered from a simple google search. Additionally had a test ordered that she said results would be relayed following the visit, but never received any further information or update after leaving.

Very intelligent and knew my problem right away. Already feeling better!

Waited approximately 50 minutes before being seen, yet the actual consultation lasted only about 12 minutes. During that time, I felt the doctor was rushing through the visit and was not willing to spend adequate time addressing my questions or providing clear explanations. I even had to ask her to stay a bit longer to discuss my concerns, which made the experience feel dismissive and rushed.As a patient, I value thorough communication and attentive care. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet those expectations. Long wait times combined with a very brief and hurried consultation were both frustrating and disappointing.At this point, I would prefer not to continue care with this doctor. I kindly ask that this feedback be taken seriously and that appropriate steps be considered to improve patient experience. Our time is valuable as well, and we rely on healthcare providers to offer attentive and respectful care.

She spoke mainly to the person transcribing, kept cutting me off when I was trying to speak, wasn't using explanation or words that I could understand- a lot of medical terminology, she was confused as to why my doctor referred me to her, and I left the appointment very emotional because the entire appointment was overwhelming. Now she has scheduled another virtual appointment with me to explain further a procedure she brought up at the original appt and I have to have this conversation rather than this being explained to me at the original appt.

I did feel the visit ended a bit abruptly. Information given etc but no "soft send off". Very different than the last time.

Dr Thornton treats me like a friend. Very caring and friendly. Great bedside manner. You feel very comfortable and cared for

I had a situation at the end of my cataracts are drilling left eye. My provider in 20 years of practice I've never seen this. She took it very serious, consultant with another specialist, and watched out for me by calling me every couple days to see how my eye was coming. I was given a couple phone numbers to make direct calls just in case anything happen. And she has stayed on top of it to this very day.

I fully trust the doctor

Dr Thornton was the FIRST Dr that gave me specific instructions on how to correctly apply the medication to my eyes. I've used this medication three other times by other NM Drs and was never told how to apply it until this visit! So grateful for Dr Thornton.

I'm still not sure what caused my condition. I know she wants to do more tests, but I really don't know why. I would have liked a few reasons why I have this condition, why the additional tests are needed, etc.
