The PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency at Nebraska Medicine offers a unique and stimulating learning environment that provides comprehensive clinical training in ambulatory care pharmacy practice. Graduates of this program will become competent practitioners in the care of ambulatory patients and will be qualified to function as highly skilled ambulatory care pharmacists within a health system or academic setting.
Residents work closely with health care professionals throughout the continuum of patient care, including patient assessment, education and therapeutic recommendations. Working with experienced pharmacy clinicians, residents will also gain experience serving as a preceptor for PGY1 pharmacy residents and pharmacy students. Residents will provide compassionate, evidence-based, and progressive medical care. The program allows tailored instruction for the individual based on interest and past experiences.
