Integration with other Hospital Services You May be Receiving
Our team is integrated into the healthcare setting and works closely with our hospital staff and/or your community physician. They will communicate with your primary and specialty care doctors to ensure that all aspects of your healthcare are coordinated.
Caring and Compassionate Care
Some people may find it embarrassing or uncomfortable to seek help when they experience a mental health concern. Our caring team of professionals understand. They will listen to your concerns and work with you to develop a customized treatment plan to help you feel better and improve your quality of life.
Pre-surgical Psychological Evaluations
Research shows that a patient's psychological and social health can significantly affect healing after surgery. Psychologists meet with patients before surgery to help them as well as their doctors, nurses and other healthcare providers identify and address any behavioral health concerns that may impact recovery. If there are concerns about a patient’s preparedness for surgery, short-term therapy may be provided to address any psychological distress and to teach coping skills to enhance the probability of a successful surgical outcome.
