Sylvia J Ziegenbein, MD

Dr. Z has been such a calming presence after a rocky start to my pregnancy. She is patient, listens to all my questions, doesn't rush the appointment and always leaves me feeling better. I am a little over half way through my pregnancy now and my blood pressure has been high at every appointment but not at home. Dr. Z knows that it is likely my anxiety and has balanced well making me not worry about the numbers and doing any precautionary tests when necessary. I love how she has handled explaining why my pregnancy is considered high risk without making me worry and making clear that she has a plan and will take care of everything.

Dr. Ziegenbein is fabulous. She's what a Dr should be, smart and compassionate, part therapist, part scientist and 1000 % about the patient.

She was an excellent listener, very empathetic and I could tell that she really cared about me, my health, and wanted to work together with me to figure out my perimenopause (hormones, symptoms, pellets, etc).

I was not listened to. I came in with genuine concerns, and brushed off as if I did not know what I was talking about or as if I was making things up. I was given a couple of diagnosis that in my opinion did not match up and there didn't seem to be any concerns about unexplained symptoms. I came in ready with facts and a timeline and I felt like I was brushed off due to my appearance. It's already hard for me to see a doctor, and even harder to find one that will listen. I was treated as if I was stupid and as if I do not know my body. I was very disappointed especially when I researched doctors so this situation would not happen.

There's not a better gyo doctor than Dr. Sylvia. I'm so great she still in practice!!

Dr. Z is the best. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. She truly cares about me and my health and I am very grateful for her!

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone, especially not to friends or family. This was, by far, the most negative experience I've had with a healthcare professional. The doctor came across as dismissive and uninterested in what I had to say. At times, her behavior felt unprofessional, even mocking. Which made me feel uncomfortable and not taken seriously. I left the appointment feeling unheard and disrespected.

Dr. Z is very knowledgeable, caring and explains things very well with me and gave me choices and very respectful for my decision. I wish her appointments are not so hard to get into, but I understand why she's in high demand
