I had heard good things about Ellsworth, but I really wasn't impressed. And I hate saying that! But I was likely the first patient of the day, had to arrive at 8:05 am, and she didn't come in the room until a little after 8:45am. She did apologize, but being a new patient - I didn't feel very welcomed. Her bedside manner was off to me, she was just typing away, and I had to tell HER about my background. She didn't really ask anything about me. I had a question about my vertigo medicine, and her answer was a little snarky to me. And as we were finishing up the appt, she basically told me that she shouldn't be taking new patients and it's a 2-3 week wait to see her but she does have 1-2 same day appts. To then I asked her about your urgent/priority care facilities. It made me feel like I wasn't important to her, and honestly if I could see her medical assistant or just go to the priority care office off Giles - I might do that next time. I try to give grace and maybe she had an off morning, but as a new patient - I felt like she didn't want to get to know me. She did ask me about what my son is into, but that's really all she asked personal wise. I know I'm not looking for a new friend, but I like to get the warm and considerate feelings from my medical doctors as I have anxiety anyways. And this switch from all my CHI doctors who I loved and valued for many years has been hard for me. She didn't really make it any easier for me. But Ashli did!
