It's not that he's bad at what he does or what he knows.... He just lacks people skills. Not much of a conversationalist.

He has me very confident about fixing my shoulder issues

Would have liked more guidance on what I needed to do after visit regarding restrictions, meds, required actions.

Dr. Teusink is very thorough. He shows concerns and allows you to provide input, and follows through with an explanation or plan.

Recalled issues I was having post op and asked about them. Gave clear instructions on restrictions (or lack of them) and gave clear instructions on how to end the appointment (ie didn't need to wait for a scheduler)

I've only had 1 good experience with this doctor and that was during my surgery when I was put to sleep which mean I didn't actually have interaction. Now after surgery ALL of my interactions have been extremely poor with this doctor.

I like that the doctor advised that we do not need to rush into surgery, give it some time to see how it will heal. Then gave some options we may pursue.

We moved through the test results and exam pretty quickly. I think it was adequate, but knowing he was running late, I didn't push for additional explanations or examination.

I had a bad feeling from the beginning with this Dr. He is very arrogant and the student explained things better than the physician. I had an instance where I was at a level 10 pain. My answer to any meds was, we don't give meds at 3 months. He could care less what the issue was. It took 3 emails and 3 days before his nurse asked if I needed to come in. I've been coming to UNMC for 8 years for all my medical issues and I never have had someone so incapable of interacting with me. I found out a month after my surgery that I should have been icing. He didn't have it in my checkout paperwork. I wish I could change drs and if he is my only choice, I'll go elsewhere.

Dr. Teusink is very pleasant. Asked how shoulder was after last injection. Asked when it stopped being effective. Discussed nonsurgical treatment.

I explained to 3 different people in the process of checking in that I was there for evaluation of my elbow. Even before they started trying to X-ray my shoulder I said it again. But shoulder X-rays were performed. I felt very unheard. My initial call may have said shoulder because someone else made the appointment for me. But I was very clear upon arrival that my elbow was the issue.

I have already recommended Dr. Teusink to family and friends.

Dr Teusink is amazing. I feel that he cares about me as a person and he takes the time to explain things and show me things on the x-rays, CT scans etc. He has always been sure that my questions are answered.

They were thorough. Then they left us in the room. We felt pushed out. Said you can do blood work anytime it's across the street.
