Dr. McLaughlin's interests include: optic neuritis, transverse myelitis, Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, neurosarcoidosis, central nervous system vasculitis, central nervous system manifestations of autoimmune diseases, white matter lesions of the brain, and central nervous system paraneoplastic disorders.

    This was my last visit with Dr. McLaughlin after 5 years of monitoring for MS. I have not been diagnoised MS. For all of my visits prior to this visit, I have met with the doctor. For this last visit, he passed me off to the APRN. While she was fine, I found it a bit offputting that he could not finish out the conversation and care with me.

    Dr McLaughlin spent almost an hour answering every question and discussing care going forward, including risks.

    Not a huge deal, just an FYI. Felt a bit rushed overall. Preferred pharmacy was not confirmed so had to message to change it. Melanie was awesome in that regard and very responsive in communication. Overall, a great visit but felt a little rushed. Thank you for the excellent care.

    I had started with Dr. MacLaughlin 5 years ago and then we moved to FL for 5 years and came back to him as my PPMS specialist. I was glad he was able to add me to his busy practice.

    Dr. Mac McLaughlin is a very personable physician. He is always up beat and very interested in my well being. His nurse Melanie also is a very concerned and helpful.
