While he appeared to be listening the care did not come across well. He didn't want to offer any solutions and wanted us to wait for mental health's option. That's two months without better support.

Very precise and clear

We were first seen by Dr. Hurley who was "shadowing" Dr. Woodward. He spent a good 30-45 minutes with us covering all aspects Dr. Woodward generally covers. After Dr. Hurley's time with us, he left to consult with Dr. Woodward who then came into the rom to visit with us for approx. 10 minutes.

I would have appreciated more info on the long term expectation of being on meds and discussed if there were any consequences to that or not. That would make me feel better about having to take something long term instead of worrying if it's going to cause me other issues or not.

I saw Dr Woodward and Dr Munawar. Both smart, patient people who welcomed questions. And I've always got questions!!

Woodward's nurse Erin is a definite asset to his practice.

I found his answers to questions and treatment options were measured. He went to simplest option first and explained why and what to expect. He ruled out diagnoses that had been of concern, to family members and regarding conductive decline and memory problems. Through interview II gained better understanding of his area of concern versus neuropsychiatric assessment.

The attention given me and the depth of questions and tests was comforting and assuring that they listened and were making informed decisions about my tests, diagnosis & proposed treatments. Our overall and immediate reaction and feelings were"Wow! I just learned I in fact that have Parkinson's disease (which I suspected). But, I feel great and wonderful about where I'm headed (medications and physical therapy) with a great deal of hope and confidence". I am grateful that my PT will be conducted onsite at UNMC (Village Pointe) or in Lincoln with the oversight of UNMC.

I was especially impressed with my interaction with Dr. Woodward. He not only spent what I considered - a great deal of time with me and my wife, but he explained each test he was giving me - and he commented throughout the exam. As he concluded the exam - he explained exactly what he thought and he gave me options re: the next steps. He explained the options and even what I might expect re: insurance coverage and possible costs to me. I am extremely impressed with Dr. Woodward. He exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend him and NE Medicine to others.

Dr. Woodward is second to none, and this University is lucky to have him leading in the teaching of future Neurologists through the observation of his practice. He is compassionate, EDUCATED, thorough in his evaluations and even took the time to prepare resources BEFORE I came for my apt because he knew I was driving 5 hours to see him. He provided resources for the continuance of my care and referrals to the university of Iowa which is closer to my new home. He took my concerns around past treatment and dismissal of my condition from other institutions seriously. Each student doctor/fellow who I have met have also expressed the same level of compassionate listening to understand vs listening to respond out of ego or need to move the appointment along faster for insurance purposes. I can understand why the wait time to see Dr. Woodward is so long, but he has absolutely helped to solve a neurological problem' that I have spent 12 years working with countless doctors/hospitals-including 3 other neurologists, who could not figure out what my condition was. Dr. Woodward was able to provide what I feel is an accurate diagnosis on my first visit, provided follow up plans w/clinicians he works directly with, and then in my second apt went above and beyond to find the appropriate treating facility to continue my care. Thank you!
