About Me

Dr. Josh Laurila is a primary care provider at Nebraska Medicine's Eagle Run clinic. He grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and attended medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa. While there, he met his wife, Mackenzie, who is a Pediatric Anesthesiologist at Boys Town in Omaha. Together, they have three children. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, practiced as a hospitalist at Nebraska Medicine for five years, and then returned to the outpatient setting part-time in 2025 before moving to full-time clinic work in 2026. Dr. Laurila's philosophy of care revolves around meeting patients where they are in the moment. He prefers a relaxed, accessible approach focused on translating complex, overwhelming medical topics into clear guidance.
