Dr. H. Is the best doctor my 95 year old mother has ever had. He listens, his written notes are direct and thoughtful. We couldn't ask for better care.

After our first consultation with Dr. Hejkal a few years ago, we knew we had to keep her under his care so we bring her up annually from Lincoln. Dr. Hejkal puts excellent thought into the care he provides. He explores and weigh options with us and answers questions. He never rushes us through the appointment. He is an excellent physician.

I don't usually make recommendations. Dr. Hejkal is extraordinary in the way he cares about his patients.

I liked Dr. Hejkal so much that I am considering changing doctors to see him. He is not condescending and really listened to me.

My PCP seems to be present and mindful. When there are unexpected delays or interruptions, he tends to acknowledge them. I do not feel pushed or hurried.

Dr Hejkal is an outstanding, active listener. He never seems rushed, and is genuinely interested in understanding my concerns, and discussing possible approaches. I have already referred patients to him

Dr. Hejkal is always prepared w/review of hx & previous visits. He is personable, kind, respectful and evidence based in recommendations & practice. He takes thoughtful time answering questions.

Dr. Hejkal even overrides my telling him to not worry... not needed. Example: my poo-pooing his need to address a small amount of blood. I needed surgery, and thanks to his determination, I got it and I also got a specialist to avoid future problems!

This is still a new and developing relationship. So far, so good. He's reasonable, I'm reasonable. Hopefully we can communicate if ever there's a situation which goes deep into the weeds.
