Our Extraordinary Program

The Heart Transplant Program at Nebraska Medicine has consistently achieved patient and graft survival rates that exceed the national averages. Experienced specialists in heart failure and heart transplantation have helped patients from across Nebraska and around the country. We are the only medical center in the region with a nationally certified heart specialist in heart failure. We are also the only medical center in the region with both Medicare designated heart transplantation and an integrated Joint Commission certified heart failure program.

We also offer a Mechanical Assist Device support program. This program meets the needs of patients who require immediate assistance while waiting for an appropriate match on the heart transplant list.
