Lodging and Transportation
Nebraska Medicine has developed relationships with several hotels in Omaha to provide quality lodging for our guests. Some of these hotels provide scheduled shuttle service that transports patients and families to and from the hospital. Ronald McDonald House

Air transport by private plane or LifeNet helicopter as well as ground ambulance transportation can be arranged for transplant patients coming to Nebraska Medicine. Generally a patient's case manager or social worker will assist in planning appropriate transportation for patients and their families.
While staying in Omaha, Transportation Volunteers are available to assist with transportation needs.
- Arrangements are made through Guest and Volunteer Services, Monday through Friday during regular business hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice to finalize arrangements.
- Guest and Volunteer Services can provide volunteer transportation to and from Eppley Airport, the Amtrack Train Station and the bus terminal between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., seven days a week.
- Guest and Volunteer Services also plan a weekly shopping trip to local grocery and department stores on Mondays. Guests may sign up at the Nebraska House front desk.
