Volunteer Services
You are invited to join our dynamic volunteer program.
Opportunities are available day and evening, seven days a week. To volunteer at The Nebraska Medical Center, you must be at least 16 years old. An initial six-month commitment is requested of all volunteers. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum of two to four hour commitment each week.
The mission of The Nebraska Medical Center Volunteer Services is to enhance the comprehensive patient and family care experience by providing meaningful service opportunities and recognition for volunteers and to support the activities of the Clarkson Service League and the University Hospital Auxiliary.
We have over 600 trained volunteers committed to serving the patients, families, visitors and staff of The Nebraska Medical Center. Volunteers serve by helping with essential non-medical duties in over 40 areas. Volunteers provide support in clinical services, office assistance and fundraising activities. These services make the day a little easier and brighter for patients, employees and visitors at The Nebraska Medical Center. Volunteers? cheerful and selfless presence reaches every corner of the hospital campus.
