How You Can Help
Nebraska Medicine’s Office of Development staff members work to cultivate relationships and are dedicated to improving the quality of care the hospital provides. There are many ways to share your time, treasure and talent to support the patient experience at Nebraska Medicine.
Make a Donation
In giving a gift to the hospital you are giving our staff, the tools they need to effectively treat patients to achieve the best possible outcome. A gift to the hospital enables us to build better and more modern patient facilities, makes purchasing of state-of-the-art technology possible and allows us to assist patients and their families receiving care at the hospital.
Learn About Planned Giving
Creating a planned gift requires much thoughtful consideration and discussion. Our office will work with individuals and their professional advisors to design a plan that fits each unique situation to achieve financial planning and estate goals.
The Omaha community is extremely generous. Philanthropists work together to support the medical center by planning, chairing and attending special events which benefit special programs at the hospital.
Young philanthropists Josh Garth and Ervin Youmans teamed up to host the Impakting Lives Basketball Tournament in Spring 2012, which benefited the hospital's Journey Beads program.
This year marked the return of Polo for Patients, an event made possible with the help of honorary chairs Gerry and Bruce Lauritzen, First National Bank, Lexus of Omaha and Valmont Industries. Over $500,000 was raised for the hospital’s Patient Assistance Fund.
Celebrate Your Care
Grateful patients at Nebraska Medicine often inquire about how they can give back to the hospital for the exceptional care they received while at the medical center. Celebrate Your Care is a program designed to pass notes of thanks back to caregivers and make a donation to the area where an individual was treated.
Tribute to Caregivers
The Commemorative Stone program at Nebraska Medicine provides an opportunity to honor those who have dedicated their careers to caring for people or remember loved ones who have passed.
Volunteer at the Hospital
For people with a passion for helping Nebraska Medicine by volunteering, there are a variety of opportunities available in the hospital. Day and evening shifts are open, seven days a week.
Miracles at Work
Providing patients with exceptional care requires the hard work of nurses, doctors and support staff. But at Nebraska Medicine we are able to go above and beyond the standard medical care because of the support we have from so many partners.
Organizations and generous individuals in the community make it a priority each year to ensure that the children receiving treatment at Nebraska Medicine are able to enjoy their birthday with a proper celebration and participate in the holiday season.
