It is recommended that this class be taken at least two to four weeks before your baby is due.&nbsp\;Lactation consultants will instruct you and a support person on the basics of breastfeeding including:&nbsp\;Latching the baby onto the breastGauging if the baby is getting enough milkEstablishing a good milk supplyPositions for feedingLactation consultants are also available for prenatal and postpartum consultations if desired.
