DESCRIPTION:Help keep your child safe on the road by attending a free car seat check event offered by Nebraska Medicine in collaboration with Children's Nebraska and Safe Kids Douglas County.Certified child passenger safety technicians will inspect your car seat\, answer questions\, and help ensure your child is traveling safely based on their age\, height\, and weight.This event is open to expectant parents\, grandparents\, and all caregivers of children.Cost: Free. Donations are welcome and will support community injury prevention efforts.What to Know Before You AttendAppointments are available on a first-come\, first-served basis.Please plan to spend approximately 20 minutes per car seat.Bring your child\, current car seat\, vehicle owner's manual\, and car seat manual.Questions can be emailed to trauma@nebraskamed.com.We look forward to helping you make sure your child is riding as safely as possible.
