Treatment Options
The Nebraska Medical Center offers a wide range of medical and surgical treatment options to patients with kidney disease and/or diabetes. These include:
- Providing comprehensive medical care for adult and pediatric patients with kidney diseases and/or diabetes
- Pancreas alone transplant for individuals with Type I diabetes and early complications of the disease
- Pancreas after kidney transplant for patients who have had a previous kidney transplant either from a living donor or a deceased donor
- Kidney and pancreas transplant for Type I diabetics who have kidney failure
