Michael Sorrell

Michael Sorrell, M.D., medical director, is co-founder of the adult liver and small bowel transplantation program. He earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. (UNMC). He completed an internal medicine residency in 1968 and a gastroenterology residency in 1969 at UNMC. He was the driving force in securing the necessary funding to build The Lied Transplant Center. He is board certified in internal medicine.
