Staff Bios

Adrienne Connor, PT

Adrienne Connor is a physical therapist in The Nebraska Medical Center’s Pain Management Program. She specializes in chronic pain management and musculoskeletal dysfunctions of the pelvis, including urinary incontinence and pelvic pain syndromes.

Connor earned a BA from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1996 and a master of physical therapy from St. Ambrose University in 1999. Connor has worked at The Nebraska Medical Center since graduating. She began her career in rehabilitation services as a staff physical therapist specializing in women’s health and outpatient orthopedics. As a physical therapist in the Pain Management Program, she treats patients with chronic pain conditions and musculoskeletal dysfunctions of the pelvis. Connor has completed training in myofascial release, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, as well as numerous courses on musculoskeletal and visceral pelvic dysfunction. She has lectured for the Clarkson College Physical Therapist Assistant Program, the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) OB/GYN and Urology Residency Programs, UNMC Advanced Practice Nursing Program, and the Nebraska state meeting of AWHONN on treatment of urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Julia Gallup, PTA

Julia Gallup is a physical therapist assistant (PTA) with the Pain Management Program at The Nebraska Medical Center. She is a graduate of the Clarkson College PTA program. Gallup assists in treating people with chronic pain problems in the program and on an outpatient basis, as well as with treating those with pelvic pain and urinary incontinence issues.

Giuseppe (Joe) Siracusano, PT

Joe Siracusano is a physical therapist who specializes in the treatment of persons with chronic pain disorders at The Nebraska Medical Center’s Department of Pain Management in the Pain Management Program. Siracusano has worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Pain Management Center since 1981 and continues to practice at The Nebraska Medical Center’s Pain Management Program. He has been practicing as a licensed physical therapist since 1978. Siracusano was chosen to help organize a pain rehabilitation program in Pennsylvania during 1987. After graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s (UNMC) Division of Physical Therapy Education in 1978 with a bachelor's degree, he went on to earn a masters degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in health, physical education and recreation in 1986.

Siracusano has been an adjunct assistant professor at UNMC’s College of Medicine, School of Allied Health Professions in the Division of Physical Therapy Education since 1990. Also serving as a clinical educator in physical therapy since 1988, he has been a credentialed clinical educator by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1999.

Siracusano has completed advanced training in craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, the mechanical link, nervous system manipulation and lymphatic drainage therapy. He often presents professional workshops and seminars on craniosacral therapy for physicians, nurses, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and massage therapists. Siracusano has been involved in the training of University of Nebraska Medical Center Medical and Dental residents. He wrote one of the first articles published in a professional journal regarding physical therapy philosophies and exercise interventions in the treatment of chronic pain.
