PGY1 Residents


Connor Allen, PharmD

Dr. Allen grew up in Kearney, Missouri. He attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, and received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. After graduating, he attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Pharmacy. His career areas of interest include cardiology and critical care. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors playing recreational sports, watching the Chiefs during football season, and spending time with friends and family.

Sarah Arduser, PharmD

Dr. Arduser grew up in West Point, Nebraska. She completed her Bachelor of Science in chemistry/health sciences at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska, and received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Her current practice areas of interest include critical care and oncology. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking new recipes – especially new soups, spending time with her family and friends, and being outdoors on the farm with her fiancé, Jarett.

Ashlie Bunten, PharmD

Dr. Bunten is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She completed her pre-pharmacy education and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Her current areas of interest include cardiology, psychology and ambulatory care. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, reading and trying new recipes.

Ally Klein, PharmD

Dr. Klein is originally from Geneseo, Illinois, and attended pre-pharmacy and pharmacy school at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Her current areas of interest include critical care and infectious diseases. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, hanging out with her cat, Teddy, and attempting to cook (slowly improving!).

Dr. Lemmons is originally from Randolph, Nebraska. She completed her pre-pharmacy education at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska. Her current practice areas of interest include infectious diseases, emergency medicine and oncology. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and spending time with her dog, Nelli.

Kristin Meyer, PharmD

Dr. Meyer grew up in the Saint Louis, Missouri, area. She completed pre-pharmacy education and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. Her current areas of interest include cardiology and critical care. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with friends and exploring Omaha!

Kaitlyn Mulder, PharmD

Dr. Mulder grew up in Boyden, Iowa. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, prior to attending the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in Iowa City, Iowa. Her current areas of interest include oncology, critical care and infectious diseases. In her free time, she enjoys running, drawing and painting, and spending time with her husband, Nick, and their cat, Fred.

Megan Ott, PharmD

Dr. Ott grew up in Minnesota and Illinois. She completed her pre-pharmacy education at Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii, and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Her current practice area of interest is emergency medicine. In her free time, Megan enjoys hiking, traveling, weightlifting, playing volleyball, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Shaffer is originally from Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her pre-pharmacy education and pharmacy degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Her current practice areas of interest include critical care and internal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys her workout classes, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

Alyssa Ferrazzo, PharmD

Dr. Ferrazzo is a native of Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska – Omaha, In Omaha, in 2017 and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She completed her PGY1 residency at Creighton University in Omaha. Her practice interests include cardiovascular risk reduction, anticoagulation and public health. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, interior decorating, and doting on her rat terrier, Tucker.

Molly Kernan, PharmD

Dr. Kernan grew up in Springfield, Nebraska, and completed her Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, in Kearney, Nebraska. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by a PGY1 residency at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Her practice areas include interventional cardiology and heart failure. In her free time, she loves to bake, walk her chiweenie, Zippy, and watch movies and play board games with her husband, Austin.

Joseph (Austin) Dockins, PharmD

Dr. Dockins grew up in Columbia, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri in Columbia first as an engineering major before switching to pharmacy. He attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Pharmacy in Kansas city, Missouri, before completing his PGY1 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. His career areas of interest are critical care, cardiology and emergency response. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, primarily baseball and football, and hanging out with friends.

Katherine Kessel, PharmD

Dr. Kessel grew up in Dickinson, North Dakota. She completed her pre-pharmacy education and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota, followed by PGY1 residency at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Her areas of practice interest include critical care, neurology and cardiology. In her free time, she enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with her cat, Rocuronium, “Rocky.”

Terese (Tess) Lewis, PharmD

Dr. Lewis is a native of Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her pre-pharmacy education and received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by a PGY1 residency at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. Her current practice areas of interest include toxicology, emergency response and status epilepticus. In her free time, Tess enjoys working out and reading, listening to true crime podcasts, and spending time with her friends, family and cat, Maverick.

Shannon Powers, PharmD

Dr. Powers grew up in Washington, Iowa. She completed her pre-pharmacy education and pharmacy degree at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, followed by a PGY1 residency at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Her practice areas of interests include diabetes stewardship, transitions of care and infectious diseases. In her free time, Shannon enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants with friends, and playing fetch with her dog, Ollie.

Ashley Bogus, PharmD

Dr. Bogus grew up Lincoln, Nebraska. She completed her pharmacy degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by a PGY1 residency at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. Her current areas of interest include hematologic malignancies and solid organ tumors. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking goodies for the office, and trying new restaurants.

Shawna Kuhlers, PharmD

Dr. Kuhlers grew up in Forest City, Iowa. She completed her pre-pharmacy and pharmacy training at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and her PGY1 residency at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Her current practice areas of interest include solid organ tumors, bone marrow transplant and infectious diseases in an immunocompromised population. In her free time, Shawna enjoys going on road trips with her family, spending time with friends, taking care of her guinea pigs, Tybalt and Tibor, and going on walks with her husband, Chris.

Emily Stohs, PharmD

Dr. Stohs is a native of Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, Kansas. Her current areas of interest include abdominal transplantation and immunocompromised infectious diseases. In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling, spending time outside with her dogs and playing board games.
