Pain Management Programs
The Nebraska Medical Center’s Pain Management Department treat all types of pain, acute or chronic, including cancer pain and pain associated with many types of conditions such as:
- headaches
- back pain
- fibromyalgia
- spinal arthritis
- post-stroke
Patients may be treated using one or a combination of therapies including medical interventions, psychological interventions, self-help, physical therapy or surgery. When pain can't be alleviated effectively through these therapies, patients may be referred to the four-week Pain Management Program the only multi-disciplinary pain program in this part of the country.
