"My Journey Beads"
Every day, children fighting cancer face tests, treatments, hospital stays and other challenges most other kids couldn't imagine. A new program at The Nebraska Medical Center helps those kids and their families mark important milestones on their journey to recovery. My Journey Beads reward each child for every step in their treatment, no matter how small it may seem. There's a bead for every blood test, round of chemotherapy, and for happy occasions like returning to school. This is the story of BJ, a 11 year old boy fighting leukemia.

2012 Update: The Impakt Foundation changes the lives of children though their members' love for athletics. This year, the foundation is hosting a basketball tournament and donating the proceeds to the pediatric oncology program at The Nebraska Medical Center.
A high-octane, elite men's basketball tournament is planned for May 19 and 20 at Grace University. Generous support is needed to make the tournament a success and to provide programs, like My Journey Beads, which help these special children and their families.
