California resident Gilbert Zabala had spent nearly 20 years with a failing liver. Eventually it became clear he needed a transplant. But doctors at several large transplant centers across the country said they couldn't do the transplant because of the complexity of his condition. When Gilbert came to The Nebraska Medical Center, transplant surgeons not only gave him a new liver, they also fixed the complications that caused the other hospitals to hesitate. In this video, Gilbert, a self-taught guitarist, gives thanks to the doctors and staff of The Nebraska Medical Center, and to God for helping him pull through after two decades of misery.
