Living with Cancer - Ted's Story
About this Video
Posted 11/28/2012
Ted is a retired physician who was diagnosed with cancer several years ago. He shares his thoughts on dealing with the diagnosis, living with treatments, and coping with feelings that often come with a cancer diagnosis. "You're going to feel like a ton of bricks hit you," he said. "I think it's a good idea to try as much as you can to dispel the element of fear." He suggests talking with family, friends and support groups. "They'll ask, 'how long you got?' I tell them, 'That's not up to me.'" Dr. Ted also talks about the importance of a "bucket list" and knowing how to roll with the punches and keep a positive outlook.
