Teens in Transplant
Teen organ transplant recipients tell their own stories in their own words. Being a teenager is hard enough. But being a teen who's been through an organ transplant is a different kind of challenge. The Nebraska Medical Center asked some of its young transplant patients (and their family members) to tell their own stories in a few words. They describe the emotions of waiting for transplant; the gratitude for their donors and donor families; and of the new life they've been given through the generosity of others.
