Violence Prevention Partnership
The Nebraska Medical Center is one of the partners in an effort to reduce gang violence in Omaha. We, along with UNMC and Creighton University Medical Center, are joining forces with Impact One, a community-based group helping Omahans with gang violence issues. The $100,000 project was made possible through a partnership with the Violence Reduction Fund. That fund was established in 2010 by State Senators Brad Ashford and Brenda Council along with Civic leader Jane Rodgers. The fund is administered by the Omaha Community Foundation. You can contact the Omaha Community Foundation at www.omahafoundation.org if you would like to make a donation to the Violence Reduction Fund.
