H1N1 Hotline 559-9996

As the spread of H1N1 flu continues, The University of Nebraska Medical Center, The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physicians are closely monitoring the situation and maintaining regular contact with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Homeland Security and state and local health departments.

This web site provides critical resources about the H1N1 virus and necessary precautions to prevent or limit a flu outbreak. Our goal to ensure the safety of faculty, staff and students, patients, visitors, health care workers and our community.

As a medical center, we are well prepared to support the community as we respond to the H1N1 virus. For the past five years, UNMC has worked with our partners, The Nebraska Medical Center, UNMC Physicians and community and state organizations to develop plans specifically for a pandemic.

In times like these, it is important for you to be prepared and have a family emergency plan. This should include storing a supply of food, medicines, facemasks, alcohol-based hand rubs and other essential supplies.
