Medical and Surgical
From new grad to experienced nurse, we have a variety of challenging opportunities for you to choose from. Orientation is individualized to meet the needs of each new employee. All inpatient units have 12-hour shifts with rotating and non-rotating schedules.
Staffing on the units consists of RNs, Clerk/Techs (CNAs) and Clerical Associates. Educational opportunities are available to enhance technical as well as organizational skills. We maintain low nurse-to-patient ratios in order to provide our trademark serious medicine and extraordinary care.
5 West – Medical/Telemetry
5 West is a 45-bed medicine/cardiac monitoring unit that provides patient care for a wide range of departments including internal medicine, family medicine, surgery and multiple specialty services. Nurses on 5 West receive the training and expertise to care for a variety of medical/surgical telemetry patients including those with titratable IV drips, arterial lines and CVP lines. The unit features a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
6 West – Surgical
6 West is a 35-bed medical surgical unit that cares for trauma, barriatric and general surgical patients. We have nurses with varied years of experience – from new grad to 30 years. Excellent learning opportunities, friendly atmosphere and great teamwork are hallmarks of this unit. It is a great place to start your nursing career.
8 North – Medical Surgical Telemetry Intermediate Care Unit
8 North is a 32-bed unit providing care for patients presenting with a variety of medical surgical diseases and related procedures. These patients require cardiac monitoring and may need IV drips, arterial lines and CVP lines. Great team work, high patient satisfaction scores and the expertise of the nurses who work on this unit define extraordinary care. The learning opportunities are endless and we welcome both new grads and experienced nurses.
9 North – Orthopedics
9 North is a 40-bed medical surgical unit specializing in orthopedics and general surgery. The unit provides a quiet healing environment for our patients and their families as most rooms are private. We have a progressive program that includes an interdisciplinary model of care where patients and their families are included in the plan of care. Registered nurses are responsible for all aspects of patient care and are supported by clerk/patient care technicians, lead nurses, case manager and a clinical education coordinator.
